Terms and Conditions

By booking through forest lodge holidays you are bound by the terms and conditions laid out below

Payment

A £200.00 deposit will be charged on booking , this will be paid via bank transfer.

 

Forest Lodge Holidays will invoice you the balance of your holiday when you are here as horses charges etc can change – this is to be paid via bank transfer or in cash before you leave.

 

This deposit is non refundable

 

 If you would like to cancel your booking, please contact us in writing / via email as soon as possible.

 

For cancellations up to one month prior to your holiday date Forest Lodge Holidays will move your booking to another date where possible.

 

Bookings cancelled within the one month period prior to your holiday being taken, the deposit will be non-transferable and any new holidays would need a separate deposit paying to secure.

 

We do not accept cheques. All payments by bank transfer or cash.

 

You must have only the stated number of guests in the lodge and day guests are not permitted to use the hot tub or livery facilities and must not stay overnight.


You shall not sub-let the lodge.


Arrival time is 2pm and departure is 10am. Please contact us if you will be arriving late on day of arrival.

Staying with your Horse at Forest Lodge Holidays

Horses must be fully insured for public liability for any damage they may cause .

​

All horses must have a passport and be up to date with their annual flu & tetanus vaccinations.

​

You warrant to us that your horse is in a state of good health and free from any infectious disease at the time of booking and during your stay with us.

​

Please bring your own water buckets and hay nets.

​

Hats must be worn at all times when riding.

​

Forest Lodge Holidays will not be held responsible for any accidents or injury whilst holidaying with us.

Horse riding is a dangerous sport – all riders do so at their own risk.

​

 If it is necessary to call a veterinary surgeon, you will be liable for any such fees.


Use of the Livery includes use of the field and stable only. Any hay or bedding needed may be available at an additional charge.

All routes are ridden entirely at your own risk. We do not accept any responsibility for any incident, accident or injury occurring in such places. In the event of any accident or injury, you must notify us immediately.


Stables should be mucked out prior to departure.


Stabling and storage of your animals, tack, equipment and vehicles is entirely at your own risk and they remain your responsibility at all times.

 

Any damages to the Property will be chargeable.

 

Neither us or our owners accept any responsibility for any damage caused to or by your animals to anyone or anything.

Only those horses and guests booked to stay with us can be accommodated. Please inform us of any changes to horses and riders prior to arrival.

​

Please poo pick the paddocks/ clean out stables by removing ALL the dirty bedding before you depart.

 

Cancellation by us

 If we are required to cancel your booking with us for events outside of our control (please see definition below), we may, at our sole discretion, offer you:
• a full refund; or
• alternative holiday dates; or
• such other remedy that we consider appropriate in the circumstances.

 

ii. In these terms, events outside of our control means any of the following circumstances which may hinder or prevent your stay with us, including but not limited to:
• acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake or other natural disaster;
• epidemic or pandemic;
• any law or any action taken by a government or public authority, including without limitation imposing a restriction, prohibition, or failing to grant a necessary licence or consent;
• collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident;
• interruption or failure of utility service.

 

iii. We will not cancel your booking unless due to exceptional operational reasons, such as if the Property or the lodge requires urgent repair or refurbishment. Notification will be provided as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments for your stay.


iv. We highly recommend Cancellation Insurance to guard against unforeseen difficulties and charges.

 

Safety Rules

No smoking is permitted anywhere in the lodge, stables or livery yard.

​

No candles are permitted within the lodge, or on the terraces or buildings on the Property.

 

You are expected to adhere to all signage and health and safety rules around in the lodge and around the Property.

​

General information

You accept that you are solely responsibility for your personal property while you are staying at Forest Lodge Holidays . All vehicles are also left at your risk.

​

You agree to use the lodge solely for its intended purpose as self-catering accommodation and we reserve the right to refuse to allow access to any person deemed unsuitable to take charge. Causing a nuisance or disturbance to neighbours or other guests, or any other unreasonable behaviour, may result in us asking you to leave.

​

You agree to allow us and any necessary 3rd parties to access to the Property at all reasonable times. We will only ever request access to the lodge in case of an emergency, e.g. a water leak.

​

You must respect and look after the lodge during your stay and you must leave it clean and tidy. You must inform a member of staff of any damage or breakages. We reserve the right to send an invoice to you in respect of our costs or any damage or breakages that are caused by you, a member of your party.

​

All contents of the lodge must be remain there for the duration of the stay and at point of departure. The person who made the booking will be considered as the ‘Responsible Person’ who shall ensure that the lodge is left in a clean and orderly condition.

​

Please do not feed any horses which are staying with us that you do not own.

​

During your stay, please respect the community and try to keep noise to a minimum, especially between 11pm and 8am.
